1) MINI SKIRT –

These are short skirts that fall above the knee , generally at mid -thigh level ,normally no longer than 10 cm below the buttocks ,and a dress with such a hemline is called Mini skirt.
2) BELL-SHAPED SKIRT –

These skirts have a tight cut at the waist and then flares out at the hem to create a full look.They are often made from heavy fabric so the silhouette hold up and does not lose shape.
3) RUFFLED SKIRT –

It make up the finely ruched strips of fabric forming voluminous skirt. Ruffle is an exaggeration , a frill or a flounce. It is wide strip of fabric gathered and sewn to a skirt or dress. They mostly appear at the hem and help to exaggerate the character and silhouettes of the skirt.
4) YOKE -WAIST SKIRT –

This is a type of skirt that has a thick ,fitted band at the waistline. A yoke is a shaped pattern piece which forms part of a garment usually fitting around the neck and shoulder, or around the hip to provide support to the loose parts of the fabric such as a gathered skirt.
5) ACCORDION SKIRT –

It’s full skirt with narrow and evenly spaced pleats pressed onto the fabric creating raised ridges. Pleats width are widest at the hem and gradually becomes narrow at the waist, creating a flared shape in a skirt.
6) TULIP SKIRT –

This resembles the actual tulip flower as the skirt features overlapped fabrics. It is designed to be gorgeously flattering , it has pretty slanted pleats at the front ,with darts at the back for subtle shaping.
7) BOX – PLEATED SKIRT –

Box – pleated skirt have wider pleats repeated around the skirt to create a fuller look. Box pleats are knife pleats back- to -back and have a tendency to spring out from the waistline.
8) KNEE – PLATED SKIRT –

9) GYPSY SKIRT –

Gypsy skirts are usually long and wrinkled, with horizontal tiers of fabric reaching the hem line. It is long, flowing, multi – tiered skirt that is of great renaissance fairs, belly dancing, or for a bohemian look.
10) PENCIL SKIRT –

Pencil skirts have a straight cut and runs tight at the knees. They provides slim fitting to the body . Generally the hem falls to, or just below the knee and is tailored for a close fit. It is named for its shape , which is long and slim like a pencil.
11) CIRCLE SKIRT –

It has a perfect circle at the hem and has a similar cut as the A – line skirt. A circle skirt is a full flowy skirt that gets its name from its circular shape of the skirt, when it is spread out.

It’s the most flattering style having a tight cut at the waist and flares out at the bottom. An A – line skirt is a skirt that fits at the hips and gradually widens up towards the hem line, giving the impression of a capital letter A.
13) DRAPED SKIRT –

Draped skirts are similar to tulip skirt but the former has a more slimming effect as the drape start at the waist.
14) BUBBLE SKIRT –

The skirt gives the illusion of a voluminous skirt as its hems are tucked back and stitched under. They are also known as tulip skirt or balloon skirt. It is a skirt in which a triangular piece of fabric is inserted upwards from the hem to give voluminous effect to the skirt.
15) GODET SKIRT –

A godet is an extra piece of fabric in the shape of a circular sector which is set into the garment ,usually a dress or a skirt. The additon of godet causes the article of clothing in question to flare, volume and adding width.

24) PEPLUM SKIRT –

An overskirt is a type of women’s short skirt which is draped over another garment, such as a skirt, breeches, or trousers. Although peplum is often used as another term for overskirt.
25) HIGH-LOW SKIRT –
